Description

The Basic (4 part) class in Family History research will be given FREE of Charge, on Saturdays, January 6th (parts 1 & 2) and 20th (parts 3 & 4) in 2, 1 ½ hr. classes, with a 30 min break in between. Classes will start at promptly at 10:00 am and will end at 1:30 pm. These Special Free Classes will be held at the Cushing Chamber of Commerce, 1301 E Main in Cushing.

These Special Free Classes are for Cushing and the surrounding communities, but to attend you must contact Joe Rose at 918-373-5701. Classroom space is limited and is filled on a first come basis. This is required so sufficient handouts may be prepared. Remember its FREE.

The only requirements for these Free classes are: 1. That you want to search out your Ancestors; 2. You have access to either a Laptop or I-pad, and can bring it to the classes; 3. You have a working knowledge of how to log into a web site, know and understand what a Username and a Password are; 4. Bring pencil and paper or a notebook to take notes.

This is not a class to teach you how to use computers.

Remember these classes are absolutely FREE, the only cost is your Time. Note: This basic class is required to continue taking any of the other Free Family History classes offered.

To get started in part 1 and 2 you will need to know or bring with you the following information: 1. Your full name, including maiden name, DOB, and city, county, and state you were born; 2. Your parents’ names with the same information as yours; 3. Your grandparents names with their information, same as yours; 4. Your great-grandparents names with their information, same as yours. You may not know all that information, but bring what you can.
